Where does Rolesville celebrate the holidays this year? Between now and mid-December, the town's calendar moves back and forth between downtown Main Street and Redford Place Park. Each place mostly belongs to a different organizer, with its own sign-up rules and its own page to check.
The Rolesville Chamber of Commerce runs most of the Main Street dates. The Town of Rolesville Parks & Recreation department runs the Redford Place dates. Once you know which group owns a date, you know where to look for the details that are still missing, which is most of them.
The Full Run, in Order

Three of these happen on or right next to Redford Place Drive, and three happen in downtown Rolesville or on Main Street. The rest are spread around town. In practice, the season moves between the two places roughly once a week.
Redford Place Is the Town's Ground
Both of the Town's big seasonal events happen at Redford Place Park, and both use the street as well as the park.
Fall FunFest runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Town describes it as a festival "on Redford Place Drive and in Redford Place Park," with inflatables, yard games, bubbles, music, a photo booth and a fire truck fall photo. Because the festival takes over the drive, expect a detour. As of this week the Town still links the 2025 detour map, and the 2026 festival map is marked "Coming Soon." The vendor and food truck lists both still say TBD. Vendor applications closed on Oct. 9, and the Town has until Oct. 23 to notify applicants it doesn't accept, so a final lineup probably won't be posted before late October.
The Tree Lighting brings everyone back to the park three weeks later. The Town's program includes lighting a 14-foot tree, a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, a performance by a local elementary school choir, photos with Santa, and artificial snow flurries. Parking is at Redford Place Park and Rolesville Elementary School, with handicapped parking in the park's own lot. Dining options and the schedule are still listed as TBD and "Coming Soon."
Redford Place gets one more event that isn't run by the Town. Gladwell Orthodontics lists a free Trunk or Treat at 101 Redford Place Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with candy, pumpkin painting, games and snacks. The weekend before, Rolesville Baptist Church has a Fall Festival on its calendar for 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. The church describes its community fall event as having children's games, Trunk or Treat and a hot dog dinner.
Main Street Belongs to the Chamber
Downtown dates follow a different pattern. They're Chamber events, they happen on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons, and they rely on the businesses already open on Main Street.
The Chamber has Mingle on Main on the calendar twice this fall, on Oct. 23 and Nov. 20, both from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The listing says the evening features "live music, free raffle for prizes, food and bar drinks, pop up shops, and your staple businesses in Cobblestone Village and on the corner of Young and Main Streets." The Town of Rolesville is listed as a partner. This isn't a new event. In its June 25 edition, The WYRe called Mingle on Main Rolesville's signature fourth-Friday street party and said it was back. Both fall dates fall on the fourth Friday of their month.
The Chamber listing describes a "social district atmosphere." That's the Chamber's description of the evening. Rolesville hasn't adopted a social district. The only town record found on the subject is a January 2026 meeting packet that lists a "24-hour social district" as an "Ideal goal," not an approved program. Any rules on carrying drinks outdoors would come from the businesses and the event itself, not from a town district.
The Christmas Parade is the biggest Main Street event of the season. It runs from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. The Chamber describes it as music, treats, floats, and businesses, organizations and families riding and marching down Main Street, with an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Town of Rolesville is listed as presenting sponsor. The listing doesn't publish route endpoints or road-closure times yet. If you want to help instead of watch, organizers are asking for volunteers at [email protected].
Dec. 6 to 12 Is the Week Both Calendars Collide
Most of the year the two calendars take turns. In early December they overlap. The Chamber's parade is on Sunday afternoon, the Town's Tree Lighting is the next evening at Redford Place Park, and five days later the Chamber is back with Breakfast with Santa. That's three holiday events in seven days, held in three different places.
Breakfast with Santa is the only one of the three you need a ticket for, and timing matters. The Chamber says families pick from three breakfast sessions, the event sells out, and there are "NO day-of walk-ups." The morning includes breakfast, cookie decorating, holiday crafts and time with Santa. Tickets are priced by group size:
| Ticket | Price | Cost per person at full size |
|---|---|---|
| One adult | $9 | $9.00 |
| Family of 2 | $17 | $8.50 |
| Family of 3 | $25 | $8.33 |
| Family of 4 | $32 | $8.00 |
| Up to 6 | $45 | $7.50 |
| Up to 8 | $60 | $7.50 |
| Up to 10 | $75 | $7.50 |
The Chamber's FAQ settles the usual question about little kids. A child needs their own ticket if they need a seat, a plate or separate craft supplies. A child who sits on a lap and shares food and craft materials doesn't. Groups of more than 10 buy the family-of-10 ticket plus tickets for the extra people. Neither the event page nor the FAQ says when registration opens, so the Chamber listing is the page to keep checking.
Nov. 11 Is Different From Everything Else on the List
One date on the list doesn't belong to either pattern. The Veterans Day ceremony is posted on the Town's events page, but it's hosted by three community groups: the Community Gardeners of Rolesville, the Rolesville Veterans Group and the Joel Fund. It's held at the Blue Star Memorial in front of Rolesville Town Hall. The call to attention is at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and the ceremony begins at 11. If it rains, the ceremony moves to the Rolesville Community Center.
The Town's page explains the timing. Veterans Day began as Armistice Day in 1919, marking the end of World War I hostilities "on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month." The ceremony stays on that date, so this year it falls on a Wednesday morning, and the call to attention comes 15 minutes before the 11th hour.
Where the Food Is Between Events
The downtown evenings depend on the restaurants already open around Young and Main. The Cobblestone Village directory, updated Oct. 1, lists Mezcalito, Jeff's Bagel Run, Artisan Beer & Cheese, Lime & Lemon, Papa John's, Pixels Bar & Arcade and Prima Cafe among its dining businesses. A directory listing alone doesn't confirm a business is open. Artisan Beer & Cheese posts daily hours for its food, craft beer and wine, and Cobblestone's Mezcalito listing gives business hours too.
For the Veterans Day ceremony or any other morning outing, Jeff's Bagel Run is one of the newest options. It held its grand opening on March 6 at 101 Rolesville Center Road, Suite 115.
Farther south, Wallbrook adds Pub Hub Beer Garden, which Eastern Wake Local recorded as opening Aug. 26. The Chipotle at 725 S. Main St. is close but not confirmed open. The Town finalized its certificate of compliance for the tenant upfit on Sept. 17, which confirms the space meets code but doesn't mean it has opened. Eastern Wake Local lists it as expected in fall 2026 with no customer-facing opening date announced. Dumont Creamery is on Cobblestone's list of coming tenants with no opening date.
Stephanie spent 23 years in the Air Force and has moved more times than she can count, so a December that puts a parade, a tree lighting and a Santa breakfast in the same week feels manageable to her.
