Things to Do in Rolesville This Fall: Events and Wallbrook Dining

For more than a year, most trips to Wallbrook were for groceries. Publix opened its store at 821 South Main Street on May 21, 2025. The Town reported the grand-opening ceremony at that address. The shops that followed, as listed on Eastern Wake Local's Wallbrook roster, were mostly the kind you visit with a list. Five Guys, Jersey Mike's, Great Clips, Club Pilates, Acapella Nails, Verizon and Ideal Dental are all marked open there.

Then, in about eighteen days between late August and mid-September 2026, the 800 block of South Main picked up businesses built for evenings. A taproom opened, a full-service Mexican restaurant began taking orders two doors down, and a car wash opened at the south end of the strip. The timing matters because Rolesville's fall calendar starts this week. For the first time, a Halloween night or a Saturday festival in town can end with a pint and dinner at Wallbrook.

Eighteen Days at the 800 Block

The order of openings is the story, so here it is by date:

  1. August 26: The Pub Hub, 811 South Main Street, Suite 106. Eastern Wake Local lists the opening date as August 26, 2026. Two days later, Triangle Food Blog reported that it was in soft-open mode, with a grand opening planned for Labor Day weekend. WRAL's food roundup that week said the same thing.
  2. September 3: Hall of Fame Car Wash, 643 South Main Street. Eastern Wake Local records its opening on that date.
  3. Mid-September: El Jefe Modern Mex, 831 South Main Street. Eastern Wake Local's timeline gives September 13 as the opening date. The same page also says a customer-facing date hadn't been confirmed, so September 13 is a working estimate. By September 22, the restaurant's own site was listing posted hours and taking online orders.

Back in February, WRAL reported El Jefe as "opening soon" at 831 South Main with no date announced. That means the space was in the works for most of the year before it opened. If you check the Town's "What's Coming to Rolesville" list, you'll still see El Jefe and the Pub Hub Beer Garden there. Those listings are behind the actual openings.

Why a Taproom Without a Kitchen Changes the Block

The Pub Hub is a craft-beer taproom that pours a rotating lineup of North Carolina beer. It doesn't brew its own. Its tagline puts it this way: "We don't brew…we celebrate the ones that do!" It also doesn't serve food. According to Triangle Food Blog's late-August report, guests are welcome to visit the many food businesses around it.

That's what makes Wallbrook work as an evening stop. A bar with no kitchen depends on the restaurants around it, and Wallbrook now has a range of them. Five Guys and Jersey Mike's were already open. El Jefe, two street numbers away, adds a sit-down dinner. Its posted hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The early Sunday opening means El Jefe covers brunch as well as dinner.

Eastern Wake Local's profile describes The Pub Hub as a beer-garden-style pub run by Dan Colby and Liza David. It has about 2,000 square feet inside plus outdoor space, and its public materials have mentioned live music, yard games and a family-friendly atmosphere. The Pub Hub's own site is the best place to check what's on tap and what's scheduled for a given week.

What's Open, What's Coming, and What's Still Unconfirmed

Several Wallbrook storefronts are still in progress. If you're deciding where to go on a Friday night, here's where each one stands as of early October 2026.

Business Address Status
Publix 821 S. Main St. Open since May 21, 2025
The Pub Hub 811 S. Main St., Suite 106 Opened August 26, 2026
Hall of Fame Car Wash 643 S. Main St. Opened September 3, 2026
El Jefe Modern Mex 831 S. Main St. Hours and online ordering posted by September 22, 2026
Chipotle 725 S. Main St. Listed for Fall 2026, no opening day announced
Pineapple Sol Wallbrook, suite not yet published 10-year lease signed, no opening date
Sushi Nami 801 S. Main St. Hours posted online, opening not confirmed

Chipotle's corporate locations page lists the 725 South Main store as "Coming Soon." Eastern Wake Local's September 9 update still had it at Fall 2026, with construction underway and no date given to customers. Pineapple Sol is a family-owned halal café now at Waverly Place in Cary, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. Triangle Food Blog reported in late August that it had signed a 10-year lease at Wallbrook. The menu runs to breakfast bowls, wraps, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and specialty coffee. When it opens, it will give the strip a morning option alongside El Jefe's early hours.

Sushi Nami's website lists an address of 801 South Main Street, daily hours and a phone number. Its online-ordering link doesn't lead anywhere yet, and no opening announcement was found. Call ahead before planning a dinner around it.

The Fall Calendar Runs North of Wallbrook

Most of Rolesville's fall events happen at Redford Place Park and Cobblestone Village. Cobblestone's event address is 108 South Main Street, about seven blocks north of the Wallbrook storefronts. That makes for an easy pattern this fall: the event first, then a drive down South Main afterward.

Tuesday, October 6: National Night Out. The Town is hosting it from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Redford Place Park, 121 Redford Place Drive, with free food, games and music.

Tuesday, October 27: Trunk or Treat. Gladwell Orthodontics hosts this one from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 101 Redford Place Drive, on the same street as the park. Expect candy, pumpkin painting and games.

Friday, October 30: Halloween in the Village. Cobblestone Village runs trick-or-treating, music, food and shopping from 5 to 7 p.m. at 108 South Main Street. It ends at 7 on a Friday, and El Jefe's posted Friday hours run until 10:30.

Wednesday, November 11: Veterans Day ceremony. The Town's ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the Blue Star Memorial in front of Town Hall. If it rains, it moves to the Rolesville Community Center.

Saturday, November 14: Fall FunFest. This runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Redford Place Park, with inflatables, yard games, bubbles, music and a photo booth. The Town's page still lists the 2026 vendors and food trucks as TBD. Check the Fall FunFest page again closer to the date. Until the food list is posted, plan on Wallbrook for a meal after the 4 p.m. close.

The next big event after that is the tree lighting at Redford Place Park on December 7, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Cobblestone End of South Main Has Added Places, Too

Wallbrook isn't the only part of South Main with new businesses this year. At Cobblestone Village, Jeff's Bagel Run opened at 101 Rolesville Center Road, Suite 115, at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026. Trattoria Franko, at 205 Basalt Place, was reported in soft-open mode in June and now takes reservations on its website. Artisan Beer & Cheese has a spot in Cobblestone's directory at 110 Bluestone Crossing, Suite 150.

Put the two together and South Main has a breakfast-and-Italian cluster near the 100 block and a taproom-and-Mexican cluster near the 800 block, with Publix in the middle of the second one. A Saturday that starts with bagels at Cobblestone and ends at the Pub Hub stays on one road the whole day.

A new restaurant on your end of town tends to change how a street feels well before the listing photos catch up. If you're wondering how Wallbrook's busier evenings might affect a future sale or a move nearby, Stephanie Santiago is happy to talk it through over coffee and give you a straight, local answer.
